The Metropolitan was built by the Austin division of the British Motor Corporation at Longbridge, Birmingham between October 1953 and April 1961, in both hardtop and convertible body styles.

Although nearly 100,000 were made, about 95% were exported, mainly to North America. The mission of this website is to provide an information resource and photo album for owners and admirers of the few remaining Metropolitans in Britain, besides providing links to the many fine US and Canadian-based Metropolitan websites and other places of interest.
